How to use it

Load a cleaning capsule the way you would a coffee pod, and run it through into a cup you do not mind pouring away.

Then the descaler, mixed with water in the tank, run through the machine.

Finish with two or three tanks of clean water to rinse.

Cleaning and descaling are different jobs

Coffee oils build up in the brew group and go rancid, which is what makes an otherwise good machine produce a bitter cup. A cleaning tablet or capsule deals with that.

Limescale builds up in the water system and changes the temperature and the pressure. Descaler deals with that.

Doing one does not cover the other. Most machines need both, just not on the same day.
