The small things, and each one fixes one specific annoyance.

A storage tin, because a bag folded over twice isn't airtight. A spoon clip so the scoop stops vanishing into the beans. A KeepCup for the walk to the station. An EcoPress for getting the grounds out of a used pod so the aluminium can actually go in the recycling.

The one worth thinking hardest about is water. Almost everything in the cup is water, so if yours comes out of a hard tap you're tasting limescale alongside the coffee. A Brita jug will change more about how your coffee tastes than a new machine will, for a lot less money.
