A moka pot that looks like it belongs in a Sicilian kitchen.

The Moka pot is the stovetop espresso maker, the classic Italian way to make strong, rich coffee at home without a machine. You fill the bottom with water, add coffee to the filter basket, put it on the hob, and in a few minutes it pushes hot water up through the coffee and into the top chamber. The result is bold, concentrated, and deeply satisfying.

This one is something else entirely. It's a Bialetti moka pot, the original, iconic stovetop coffee maker, dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana® Blue Mediterranean design. The bold, sun-drenched pattern covers the full pot, and it comes with a matching stirrer. The kind of thing that looks as good on the shelf as it does on the hob, and arrives ready to give.

A proper gift for someone who loves coffee and appreciates beautiful things.

Moka pot coffee is strong and concentrated, closer to espresso than filter. Most people drink it short, or with a little hot water or milk added. Any of our darker coffees work brilliantly in it: Dr Jones, Sin City, or Wake the Beast.

How to make it

Water into the base, up to just below the valve. Coffee into the basket, level, no pressing.

Screw the top on and put it on a low to medium heat with the lid open.

When it starts to gurgle, take it off. Close the lid and pour.

That’s it. Low heat is the bit most people get wrong.

Which coffee works best

A moka pot wants a fine grind, and our ready-ground coffee isn’t fine enough for it. Buy beans and grind them yourself and you’ll get a much better cup.

Darker roasts are the ones to reach for. Dr Jones, Sin City, or Wake the Beast.

Frequently asked questions

Will it work on my hob?

Gas and electric, yes. Induction won’t work on its own, but the Bialetti plate adaptor sits between the hob and the pot and sorts it.

What grind do I need?

Fine. Fill the basket level and don’t press it down. Our ready-ground coffee is too coarse for a moka pot, so use beans and grind them yourself.

Which coffee should I put in it?

Moka pot coffee comes out strong and concentrated, closer to espresso than filter. The darker roasts suit it best. Dr Jones, Sin City or Wake the Beast.
