How to use it

Level scoop, not heaped. Run a finger across the top.

Two scoops for a V60 or a mug. Five for a litre cafetière.

If it tastes weak, add a scoop before you change anything else.

Which coffee works best

Whichever you buy, the number on the front of the bag is the strength. 8 is the easy end, 12 is the biggest hit.

If you take it with milk, start around 9. If you drink it black and want it to do some work, go to the top.

Frequently asked questions
How much is one scoop?

12g of coffee, level. Two scoops is about right for a V60 or a single mug.
Is it as good as scales?

Not quite, because ground and whole bean weigh differently by volume. But it’s a lot better than a teaspoon, and it’s quicker.
Will it work for other brewers?

Yes. It’s a 12g measure whatever you put it in. For a cafetière, count on 60g per litre of water, so five scoops.
