For getting the coffee out of a used pod, so the aluminium can actually be recycled.

Aluminium pods recycle perfectly well. They just don't recycle with wet grounds sealed inside them, which is where most good intentions come unstuck. The EcoPress opens the pod and presses the puck out in one go. Shell in the recycling, grounds on the garden.
