How to use it

Drop the used pod in and press down. It inverts the pod and the grounds drop into the collector.

Give the empty pod a quick rinse.

Then into the recycling with the rest of your aluminium.

    Excellent simple design

    This wonderfully simple to use press massively cuts down on the recycling of pods. The aluminium cases are emptied ready for recycling at home while the grounds are collected for either food waste or composting for the garden. Thoroughly recommended!

    Eco friendly disposal

    I ordered this after seeing a few reviews. I love the coffee pods and hated not having a way to easily recycle the aluminium pods. Very easy and convenient to use. I use the coffee grounds for my plants and put the aluminium cases into the home recycling bin.

    Great way if recycling the aluminium pods

    Hated throwing the used pods in the bin. Now I can empty them into the compost bin and recycle the rest. Brilliant kitchen accessory. Easy to use and clean. 5* all the way.

    Recycling Royality

    I had revived this as a gift from cafepod. At the time I’d never heard of this but knew other brands would let you post away the pods. Which unless you’re home often doesn’t work out and shopping to recycle pods doesn’t seem like a Eco friendly way either.

    This crafty gizmo lets you recycle your pods and pop the coffee grind into your compost/plant pots or food waste. It’s extremely simple and easy to use, with no mess and cannot recommend it enough.

What to do with the grounds

Coffee grounds go on the compost heap, or straight into the food waste caddy.

In the garden they suit anything acid-loving. Roses and blueberries are the usual candidates.

The collector holds ten pods’ worth, so you’re not emptying it every morning.

Frequently asked questions
Why bother?

Aluminium pods are recyclable, but not with wet coffee still inside them. This gets the grounds out in one movement, so the pod can actually go in the bin.
What do I do with the grounds?

Onto the compost, or into the food waste. They’re good for the garden too, particularly around anything acid-loving.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?

Yes.
