How to make it

Water into the base, up to just below the valve. Fine ground coffee into the basket, level, no pressing.

Screw the top on. Low to medium heat, lid open.

When it gurgles, take it off the heat and pour. Low heat is the bit most people get wrong.

Which coffee works best

Darker roasts. A moka pot concentrates everything you put in it, so a coffee that’s already rich comes out properly good.

Dr Jones, Sin City or Wake the Beast, ground fine.

Frequently asked questions
Will it work on my hob?

Gas and electric, yes. For induction you’ll need the Bialetti plate adaptor, which we sell separately.
How much coffee does it make?

Two espresso-sized cups. The double nozzle pours into both at the same time.
What grind do I need?

Fine. Our ready-ground coffee is too coarse for a moka pot, so buy beans and grind them yourself.
