Leave it in the fridge tonight. Open it tomorrow.

Cold brew is coffee made with cold water instead of hot, and the difference in the cup is remarkable. It's naturally smoother, less bitter, and has a kind of deep, rounded sweetness that you don't get from hot brewing. Once you've tried it, it's hard to go back to iced coffee made from leftovers.

This bottle makes it about as easy as it gets. Add your ground coffee to the filter inside, fill with cold water, screw on the lid, and put it in the fridge. Eight to twelve hours later, overnight works perfectly, you've got cold brew ready to drink straight from the bottle. No faff, no equipment to store separately, just a bottle that doubles as both brewer and jug.

Makes around 650ml per batch. The filter keeps the grounds separate so your cold brew stays clean and smooth all the way to the last pour.

The details

Capacity: 650ml

Brew time: 8–12 hours (overnight is ideal)

Filter: Built-in, no papers needed

Method: Cold water only, no heat involved

Material: BPA-free plastic with mesh filter

Good if you… want to try cold brew without any extra kit to buy. The bottle is the brewer and the server, just put it in the fridge the night before.

Any of our coffees work well for cold brew, but medium roasts like Ipanema Sunrise or Easy Rider tend to give you the clearest, smoothest result. Grind slightly coarser than you would for a V60.

Why you’ll love it
  • You fill it, you forget it, and in the morning it’s done.
  • No filter papers to buy and nothing extra to find a cupboard for.
  • The bottle is the brewer and the jug, so it just lives in the fridge.

How to make it

Ground coffee into the filter. Cold water into the bottle. Lid on, into the fridge.

Go to bed. In the morning, pull the filter out and pour.

There’s no temperature to watch and no timer to get right, which is why it’s the method to start with if you’ve never brewed anything before.

Which coffee works best

Any of ours will work. Medium roasts give you the clearest, smoothest result, so Ipanema Sunrise or Easy Rider are the ones to try first.

Grind a bit coarser than you would for a V60. If it comes out cloudy, go coarser still.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a special coffee for it?

No, but grind it coarser than you would for a V60. Medium roasts like Ipanema Sunrise or Easy Rider come out clearest.

Can I use hot water to speed it up?

No. Cold water only. The slow cold soak is what makes it smooth and takes the bitterness out, and heat undoes that.

What’s the difference between this and the Mizudashi?

Same method, different size. This one makes 650ml, the Mizudashi makes a litre. If you’re trying cold brew for the first time, start here.
