The hand grinder is for one or two cups. A minute of winding is fine for a V60 on a Saturday and irritating on a Monday, so be honest with yourself. The Melitta Molino at £60 is the plug in version of the same job. The Wilfa Svart at £135 is the one to get if you're filling a cafetière or a filter jug every day, and it has a proper dial so you can set the grind rather than guess at it.
Coarse for a cafetière, medium for filter, fine for a moka pot. Then buy whole beans and open the bag late.
