Match the paper to the brewer and to the size, because a size 2 paper in a size 1 cone folds over on itself and channels the water down one side. Hario's 40 pack is £6. Size 2 papers come 100 for £11, size 3 for the bigger cone at £14, and the Clever Dripper has its own at £5 for 100.
Rinse the paper with hot water before you brew. It takes ten seconds, it warms the cone through, and it rinses off the papery taste that otherwise ends up in the cup.
Buying for an AeroPress instead? Those filters come 350 in a box.
