The bit you do yourself

An automatic machine makes the decisions for you. This one hands them back.

Adjustable grinder, your own tamp, your own milk texturing. It takes a few goes to find your settings, and then the coffee is yours rather than the machine’s.

Which coffee works best

Whole beans, and our espresso style coffees are the ones built for this. Ground fine by the machine, they give you a shot with body rather than something thin.

If a shot comes out sour, the grind is too coarse. Bitter means too fine. That is usually the only dial you need to touch.

Frequently asked questions
Is this harder to use than the automatic ones?

Yes, deliberately. You grind, tamp, pull the shot and texture the milk yourself. If that sounds like a chore, get a Magnifica. If it sounds like the good bit, get this.
How can cold brew take five minutes?

Proper cold brew takes hours because the water is still. The machine agitates it instead, which pulls the same smooth, low-bitterness flavour out much faster.
How long does delivery take?
